A CPA has officially received their designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. To achieve this designation, an individual must have two or more years of experience as a public accountant and 150 hours of education. In addition, they must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or accounting.
Sam Elfarra, CPA Principal
Sam leads the Tax and Business Services Departments at Vantedge. He has nearly 20 years of experience serving and advising businesses in all phases of the organizational life cycle. His areas of expertise range from traditional accounting and tax services to complex consulting services, including business planning, financial budgets and projections, benchmarking and financial trends, M&A support and analytics, and development of business best practices.

tax controversy and resolution
comprehensive financial and tax planning for businesses and individuals.
He has served as a consulting CFO for a number of regional business.
Sam received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University, San Marcos. He resides in north San Diego county with his wife and two young children.
Shellsea Ramos, CPA Tax and Business Services
Shellsea is a Senior Associate who joined Vantedge in early 2019, she currently heads our team of professionals in the Tax and Business Services departments and also developed and runs our intern training program.
Shellsea is a licensed CPA who received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting, from California State University, San Marcos. She has dedicated her life to helping people of all backgrounds succeed financially with a focus on bringing financial literacy to the educational sector and those in need. She volunteers her time on the Board of Directors of a local Non-profit and currently lives in Oceanside with her husband Daniel, who also works in accounting. In her free time, you can find her outside in the garden, doing projects at home, and enjoying time at the beach.
Prior to joining Vantedge, Shellsea worked in public accounting in both tax and audit at a top 100 regional CPA firm in Southern California, accounting for small businesses at a public firm in San Diego and has worked at a variety of private local businesses doing accounting and bookkeeping services.
